Boy tells cop he’s selling lemonade to buy new shoes. Hours later cop returns.

Recently, a young boy named Landen was selling lemonade and cookies near his home when he had a heartwarming encounter with a local police officer. Landen’s grandmother, Wendelyn Narvaez, captured the moment and shared it on Facebook, expressing her gratitude for the officer’s kindness.

Officer Perez from the Ansonia Police Department in Connecticut stopped by Landen’s lemonade stand and struck up a conversation. When he asked Landen what he planned to do with the money he earned, Landen explained that he was saving up to buy blue sneakers for school.

After their chat, Officer Perez left, but he soon returned with a surprise—a pair of blue sneakers for Landen. The young boy was overjoyed by the thoughtful gesture.

Narvaez shared how the officer made her grandson’s day, saying, “He made him feel like a king.” Days later, she posted a photo of Landen proudly wearing his new sneakers.

Ansonia Police Chief Wayne Williams praised Officer Perez for his act of kindness, noting that officers like Perez represent the type of people the department strives to hire. This simple but meaningful interaction reminded the community of the positive impact officers can have.
