Meghan Markle Attends the Invictus Games

After sparking speculation about having some work done on her nose, the Duchess of Sussex is yet again at the center of public discourse over her appearance at the Invictus Games.

On February 10, 2025, Meghan Markle attended this year’s Invictus Games in Whistler, British Columbia. She accompanied her husband, Prince Harry. However, social media users were less fussed with the Duke of Sussex’s appearance and more focused on the Duchess, as they believe she may have had some cosmetic work done.

Meghan made a radiant appearance in a cozy yet stylish winter ensemble. She donned a crisp white puffer jacket emblazoned with the letter “M” on the sleeve, and a sleek black beanie that framed her face, highlighting her naturally glowing complexion.

Her long, dark brunette hair cascaded smoothly over her shoulders and her makeup was kept minimal yet polished, with well-defined brows, a subtle smokey eye, and a rosy flush that complemented her smooth, freckled skin.

Meghan’s lips, which were accentuated with a pink gloss, enhanced her signature smile—warm and engaging. In one of the online photos shared of her, Meghan is seen sharing a tender moment with Prince Harry, gazing at him with an affectionate expression. Her eyes, bright and expressive, reflected a sense of warmth and connection.

Upon seeing photos of Meghan Markle, netizens wasted no time flocking to comment sections to express their opinions on her physical appearance, which many believe may have been altered.

“she [sic] underwent a lot of aesthetic surgeries on her face! OMG 😱,” marveled an Instagrammer, while another criticized, “She has ruined her face. yuck [sic].” Someone else opined, “More plastic than flesh, third nose and third set of teeth.”

Similar comments ensued, with a spectator deeming Meghan’s freckles and nose “fake.” Echoing a similar sentiment, an X user penned, “Someone ‘overheard’ Meghan saying, ‘A face without freckles is a night without stars’? Oh, please, this is planted and paid for by Meghan herself. 😆 Did she mention to the boy about her multiple nose jobs too? […]”

This user accompanied their message with a GIF of “Seinfeld” actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus repeating the word “fake” as her character on the show, Elaine Benes.

Comparing Prince Harry’s perceived motives to that of his wife’s, an Instagrammer declared, “Girl is looking wrinkling lately. He’s there with a purpose she’s there for a fashion show [sic].” On the other hand, some social media users praised Meghan and Prince Harry.

“They both look great!” swooned a fan. Another targeted their compliment exclusively to Meghan and a photographer who took some images of the royal couple, gushing, “Meghan is just beautiful! Love your photos as always!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

The harsh critique concerning Meghan’s physical appearance at the Invictus Games follows similar reactions shared by the public about her nose earlier this month (February).

When the Duchess of Sussex appeared seemingly makeup-free in a short clip where she publicly thanked Billie Eilish for a special cause, netizens pointed out alleged changes to her features.

In the video, Meghan was seen wearing a black crewneck sweater paired with high-waisted blue jeans. The sweater featured a touching tribute to her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as their names were printed in white cursive near its collar.

Completing her ensemble, the mom of two paired her casual look with two gold bracelets and left her dark brown locks loose.

Speculation about Meghan’s appearance quickly took over as the video made its rounds across social media. “Make up free but full of fillers.. had a nose job.. botoxed [sic],” one person declared. Another claimed, “She had a NOSE job years ago…you can see it.”

Some people questioned whether this was a new development, “Did she have a nose job. Looks like Michael Jackson’s,” while one user remarked, “Did she get another nose job? How many is it now?”

Even more people made speculations about her appearance as someone else observed, “We know the eyes, nose, and teeth have been altered.”

Others focused on more than just her nose, with one person asking, “When did she get the lip fillers??” and another bluntly stating, “Total facial remodel gone [sic] on there.” One person simply laughed, writing, “The ozempic [sic] face 😂😂.”

However, not all comments were critical. A fan gushed, “Meghan looks so beautiful, youthful, fresh and clean. My Princess 😘.” Another admirer added, “She literally looks so young and youthful. She has natural beauty without makeup, but is also a total stunner with makeup!!!”

Meghan’s nose has been a topic of discussion ever since her relationship with Prince Harry got serious. In 2017, board-certified New York plastic surgeon Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg, MD, said he’d witnessed an upsurge of requests for Meghan’s nose among his clientele.

He previously added, “Today, she is probably one of the top—if not the No. 1—request I get. Up until recently, the Kardashians were probably the most popular celebrity cosmetic requests.”

The surgeon also disclosed that Meghan’s nose is considered appealing due to its refined appearance, featuring a straight nasal profile and a well-defined tip. This balanced and elegant look is what many patients find attractive and seek to replicate.

Like many social media users, another doctor—Dr. Vartan Mardirossian—also believed that Meghan’s nose is not natural, as he asserted that she may have gotten subtle cosmetic work done to turn the tip “more up.”

Additionally, the doctor shared that the straight area near the tip of her nose could have been “nicely refined.”

The plastic surgeon continued, “These changes are subtle and very natural and are likely the work of a talented rhinoplasty surgeon. The nostrils and the surrounding soft tissue (the alar area) have not changed.”

Dr. Andrew Miller also suggested that if Meghan had any work done on her nose, it would likely be a subtle refinement of the tip. This change would have narrowed the nose slightly and lifted it for a more sculpted appearance.

However, Dr. Adam Hamawy observed that Meghan’s nose appeared to remain unchanged from her natural features, with no noticeable plastic surgery.

He emphasized that the mild imperfections added to her natural beauty, contributing to her distinct and timeless look. “Any differences that I’ve seen are easily accounted for by her facial expression, makeup, or lighting,” he insisted.

In the debated selfie video, the Duchess divulged the work she did supporting those affected by the California fires. Meghan, who resides in Montecito with her family, noted that Eilish had sent her a thoughtful package, including a signed vinyl.

This package was sent after Meghan met a young girl who had lost her concert T-shirt and other belongings in the Eaton fire. The Duchess of Sussex recalled telling the girl, “‘I don’t know Billie Eilish but I’m gonna figure out how to get you this shirt.’”

She added, “So I thought of everybody that I knew and I made a voice note and I said, ‘Please can someone get this voice note to Billie Eilish, this is what I’m asking.’” The Duchess was grateful that her message reached the “Ocean Eyes” singer, who signed and sent the incredible package.

“Huge thank you Billie Eilish, this is going to mean so much to her,” gushed Meghan. She also thanked her celebrity friends Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo, who helped get the voice note to the relevant people.

As the clip ended, Meghan said, “To everyone who’s showing up for people in big or small ways to get through what’s happening in California, thank you so much.”

Meghan and Prince Harry visited the Eaton Fire victims in January at the Pasadena Convention Center. When the mayor of Pasadena, Victor Gordo, was asked what he thought about the couple stopping by, he said the two are “great people” with “great personality [sic].”

He also mentioned that it took “great heart” for them to come out and meet with first responders and victims.

Additionally, the mayor shared that people were very happy to see the royal pair, who wanted to be as helpful and supportive as they could be.

In addition to Altadena, Prince Harry and Meghan visited affected families and areas in Pasadena. “They are just very caring people who are very concerned for their friends and neighbors,” the Pasadena mayor acknowledged.

The mayor also revealed that this was their second visit, sharing that the first time, they were serving food anonymously with masks on. “They didn’t come out here for publicity. They came out here to work,” he clarified.
