We’ve all had those hectic days where even a bathroom break feels impossible. Police officers, despite their superhero-like roles, are no different.

PC Andre Owen, a Sussex officer, experienced this firsthand during a grueling 12-hour shift. After working seven hours straight, responding to a serious incident in Brighton, and driving to Oxford and back, he stopped for a quick meal at Burger King. As he waited for his order, a woman stared at him before commenting, “While you’re here stuffing your face, there are criminals to catch.”

Owen, stunned but composed, simply smiled and walked away. Later, he took to Twitter to share the encounter. His story quickly went viral, with thousands supporting his hard work and calling out the unfair judgment.

The day didn’t end there. On his way back to the station, Owen stopped to assist a family with a broken-down car, adding another hour to his shift. He finally wrapped up at 7 p.m. – four hours later than expected.

Owen later reflected, “While her comment annoyed me, I love my job and wouldn’t change it.”

Next time you see an officer grabbing a bite, remember – they’re human too. A smile goes a long way.
