Traveling from Atlanta to San Francisco with my fussy 14-month-old was overwhelming. As I struggled to calm her, a kind man across the aisle offered to help, mentioning he had a daughter the same age. Desperate for a break, I hesitated but then handed her over. To my relief, she stopped crying.

After landing, I reported the incident. Days later, airport security informed me he was a well-known child psychologist with good intentions. Relieved yet shaken, I was reminded of the power of parental instincts and the unexpected kindness of strangers.
