A Delta Air Lines flight, carrying 80 people, crashed and flipped over while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on February 17. The flight had departed from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
All passengers were evacuated, though 18 people were hospitalized, including three in critical condition. Pearson CEO Deborah Flint expressed relief that there were no fatalities. Delta Air Lines confirmed its focus on supporting those affected.
Passengers shared dramatic footage of the aftermath, with one stating: โMy plane crashed. Iโm upside down.โ An investigation, led by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada with support from U.S. agencies, is now underway.
