Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made California their home after moving into a $14 million mansion following a brief stay in Canada. However, their future in the U.S. could face complications if former President Donald Trump wins the upcoming presidential election. Trump has threatened to deport Harry if it is found that he lied on his U.S. Visa application, particularly regarding his past drug use, which he admitted to in his memoir Spare.
Trump and Harry’s strained relationship dates back to 2019 when Trump referred to Meghan as “nasty” after she criticized him during his presidential campaign. Despite these tensions, Harry had to remain politically neutral during Trump’s state visit to the U.K., a situation many found awkward.
In recent years, the conservative Heritage Foundation has raised concerns about Harry’s Visa application, suggesting he may have received special treatment. Though a judge ruled his immigration records should remain private, Trump has made it clear he would not protect Harry if re-elected, even suggesting that he would be deported if found guilty of lying.
With the 2024 election approaching, Harry and Meghan reportedly have a “backup plan” in case Trump wins.
