This boy could barely make ends meet, scraping by with only $150 a month while living in a rundown flophouse for the poor. 🥺🤔 But he grew up and became a famous star.💪👏 Now he enjoys his life on a farm with his beautiful wife – nature, animals, calmness and nothing else! Who he is?

From a tiny, rundown New York apartment to a sprawling 40-acre farm, Kevin Bacon’s life has been a journey. The star of Footloose, Beauty Shop, and The Woodsman didn’t always live on a peaceful farm with his wife, actress Kyra Sedgwick. In the late 1970s, fresh out of Philadelphia, Bacon moved to New York with dreams of acting, scraping by in a “flophouse” he found through the Village Voice for just $150 a month. With little to his name, he shared the cramped apartment with a classical pianist, whose calming music filled the space.

In interviews, Bacon has recalled these humble beginnings, noting that he was “looking for the real thing.” After theater work and auditions, his persistence paid off, eventually leading to major film roles. These days, though, Bacon’s life has changed drastically. He and Sedgwick now live a tranquil life on their Connecticut farm, surrounded by goats, pigs, alpacas, and a sprawling garden.

Bacon admits his love for animals has even changed his eating habits, avoiding goat or pig products as a result. Both he and Sedgwick regularly share snippets of their farm life on social media, and fans have come to adore their videos of farm antics and their goats, which now rival the couple’s acting fame. “People were like, ‘We love you singing with the goats,’” Sedgwick shared with People.

Reflecting on the contrast between his days as a struggling actor and his life now, Bacon notes the joy and calm he finds in farming. And while his roommate once inspired his cooking, Bacon’s life today is filled with fresh veggies and peaceful farm animals — a far cry from his bachelor days in New York City.
